All Terrain Vehicles - ATV's

The Great North Woods Riders ATV Club of Pittsburg offers over 100 miles, 8,000 acres, of varied terrain to enjoy your ATV. Trails are open from Memorial Day weekend through the day prior to NH’s deer Muzzle loader season, weather permitting. All trails are privately owned, please respect your hosts and stay on the trails.

The Great North Woods Riders trail system has trails for all experience levels from logging roads to chainsaw trails and extreme terrain. A must see is a trip up Shatney Mountain, put your ATV in 4 wheel drive and climb the steep incline to beautiful views of Lake Francis, Back Lake, and the surrounding mountains. Bring a lunch and enjoy a treat and the view at a picnic table near the top. Don’t forget your camera, this is a fantastic place to visit in early fall when the foliage is at its peak. Chainsaw trails offer a challenge for those who enjoy tight, varied terrain. Follow the trails by Indian Stream or Perry Stream; bring along a fishing pole and enjoy some quiet time on the banks of the stream.

Keep your eyes open while on the trails for the wildlife that calls this their home. You are likely to see coyote, deer, rabbits, mink, maybe even a possible moose or bear.

Logging roads are still in operation, please be observant of logging trucks.

Trail bikes and highway vehicles are not permitted on our trail system. Please see trail use guidelines on the club’s website for additional requirements.

Please check the club’s website for upcoming events and late breaking news.
