Waterfalls
Garfield Falls on the Dead Diamond River is a favorite summer spot for swimming and exploring. The adventure begins on Magalloway Road, 11 miles north of the village. Stay on Magalloway Road 11 miles, when the road turns to go over a bridge, stay straight and go another mile. There will be a turn out on both sides of the road and the trail begins on the left side of the road. Only about a quarter mile from the road, this spot is not only beautiful but great for swimming under the falls. Beaver Brook Falls - Located 2.4 miles north of Colebrook or 10.8 miles south of Pittsburg on Rte 145, this lovely picnic spot is the perfect setting for a summer's afternoon. There is a nice lawn and picnic area along with walking paths. |
