Sue Lynch, Executive Angel / Advocate of the Pittsburg ANGELS Charitable Services graduated from Meriden Hospital School of Nursing, Meriden, Connecticut as a RN in 1969; and was Board Certified in Psychiatric Nursing through the American Nursing Credentials Council. She worked in ICU for ten years; Geriatrics four years, Pediatrics 3 years, Visiting Nurse for two years and the last 20 years has worked in Drug and Alcohol and at NH State Hospital in Concord as a Nurse Specialist with children, adolescents and adults. Her responsibilities cover all the disciplines, patients and staff. She worked with multi-discipline teams to develop treatment plans for each patient, and ran groups with the psychiatrists, psychologist, and social workers. In her capacity as a Psychiatric RNC she served as a caregiver, negotiator, teacher and listener to children as young as three years of age, adolescents, adults and the elderly. In her role as RN Specialist at the state hospital she became familiar with the Mental Health System of New Hampshire and can navigate through the complicated and complex rules and laws of this system.
In her role as Executive Angel / Advocate for the Pittsburg ANGELS Sue will be working within the guidelines of the Child Advocacy Center of Coos County, Response and the established ANGEL Protocols. When individuals, especially children, are in crisis they are very fragile both physically and emotionally. "It is my hope to use my skills to protect, comfort and give hope to those in need. As we, the Pittsburg ANGELS, continue to grow in our roles within the community I would like to see us incorporate what has been established by the CAC, Response and the ANGELS into our own communities, with the assistance of our advisors, police department and the protocols already in existence. Eventually we hope to establish a not only a safe house but a safe community for all." "Another concern of the ANGELS is the elderly and youths of our communities. When we have a permanent home we hope to establish a Senior Day Care and Teen Center. Seniors and Teens could share the same space, but at different times. The seniors could have a day program 10am to 2pm to be able to participate in activities, visit and have a meal or snacks, and obtain information pertaining to their ìgolden years. This would also provide respite care for their care providers. The Teens could come in after school for activities, help with homework and job training. They would have a safe place to go and meet-up with their friends."
"Our Goals are very expansive, as are our hopes and dreams, the ANGELS all feel this and more can be obtained with the help of the community we call home." For more information contact Advocate Angel This website is "a work in progress" so stay tuned to watch for what follows.... |
